In 2008, as the brand got the success in the field of senior chronometer, the Caliber 3125 movement was born. This movement was developed by Chanel and Audemars Piguet. In 2010, Chanel created the most perfect J12 Rétrograde Mystérieuse watch for the 10th anniversary of the birth of the J12 watch. This new watch was developed by GuilIo Papi’s team, which had already created lots of creative watches.

The crown of Chanel J12Rétrograde Mystérieuse watch is placed on the dial. And watchmakers have never tried this way of placing the crown on the dial. Then the questions come out one by one. If the crown located in the dial, then how can the pointer move around? Guilio Papi’s team has solved the problem. It develops a vertical crown, which contains the telescopic function. This special crown is placed in the position of 3 o’clock. As the position of crown has changed, then the way the pointers move around has to change too. The pointers not only move around the dial, but they need to move around the crown.

Vacheron Constantin Launches The Patrimony Traditionnelle 14-day Tourbillon Watch

Vacheron Constantin’s new watch came in elegant rounded case and is equipped with the extraordinary 14-day tourbillon movement. This new watch of Patrimony Traditionnelle collection is brand’s first model that meets the demand of the new standard of Poinçon de Genève. The new watch is equipped with Caliber 2260 movement, which is developed by Vacheron Constantin’s design engineers and watchmakers. This excellent movement matches well with the case, and it provides long time power (is up to 14 days) for the watch. The movement applies two groups of barrels. And each group contains double barrels, therefore, the movement has four barrels, which means that those barrels can relax at the same time, but the speed is slower than the single barrel.

The new Caliber 2260 movement contains 231 parts and two big bridges. The Tourbillon Bridge inspired by the brand’s iconic Maltese cross and it perfectly shows the excellent production process of each part of the movement, including a large number of angles and completely handmade bevels. The brand is committed to the traditional watchmaking crafts and polished dealing costs watchmakers lost of time. For example, it costs more than 11 hours to polish the upper bracket of the Tourbillon.

The hour hand and minute hand are powered by the Caliber 2260 movement, and these two hands located in the position of slightly off the center.
